Social Media Raffle Winner Announced
The Winner of our Social Media raffle was Street Cred—Eugene, chosen randomly by comment picker software. The campaign lasted about a month, and the question for eligibility to enter the raffle was about your first brand of car. Eugene answered with “1987 Volkswagen Beetle”. We had over 300 comments from social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram. The raffle rules were made available for public viewing.
The social media raffle campaign’s main goal was to create awareness for the Tannery Cars brand and provide exposure for the upcoming car show on 7 April 2024. It was entertaining to see the many answers people gave on their first brand of car, and I am sure it evoked nostalgic memories of that past. Tannery Cars also tries to create that nostalgia by showcasing various classic and vintage vehicles at its motor museum and classic car cafe, which is based in Wellington, Western Cape.
Winning Prize
The Social Media Raffle Prize on offer was six bottles of red wine, sponsored kindly by VDC ( Val Du Charron Wines), also based in the Wellington region. See their website for details on the beautiful wines and the accommodation they provide. The winner also would have the opportunity to have lunch at the Old Tannery Brewery Pub for themselves and three lucky guests. The prize package highlights two hot laps in a V8 racing car with a professional driver at Killarney Raceway. The lunch was sponsored by the Old Tannery Brewery ( Garagista ), and the race car experience was by Sean Moore, MD of Ziegler Logistics.
Eugene will collect his wine at the upcoming Tannery Car Show on 7 April 2024 and can come for lunch anytime within the next 12 months. The winner and sponsors will organize the race car experience.
